When I drove past St. Vincent's Home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma I thought it was an abandoned church. I had been told by multiple people
"you should check out the abandoned insane asylum in okc!"
"have you ever heard of St Vincent's? It's supposed to be Haunted!"
I had intentions of looking up the place and researching it. Ultimately, maybe heading out there to see what the fuss was all about. I always appreciate people giving me recommendations.
What I didn't expect was this little abandoned church I was just stopping to check out to be the decommissioned and abandoned St Vincent's Home Insane Asylum.
As I walked around the outside of the building I could already tell the inside was going to be a serious experience. I walked around to the back and that is where I saw the busted out windows from the basement/1st floor located lower towards the ground.
I walked up and peeked inside and was greeted with the scene in the photos above. Complete destruction. The water was probably close to a 1.5 ft high. The bricks withering away. Amateur graffiti everywhere. It looked like a scene from a horror movie.
The inside was NOT any better.
If you'd like to read the history and see the pictures from the inside then check out my previous post on St Vincent's Home from 2 or 3 weeks ago. It was a crazy story from start to finish.
