"specializing in the beautifully abandoned, neglected, and forgotten parts of Oklahoma."
Photography by Jesse Edgar
My name is Jesse Edgar and I am the creator of the Oklahoma Abandoned Project. I photograph historic, abandoned, and forgotten parts of our state in hopes to preserve the history behind Oklahoma architecture, make others aware of the condition of the more unfortunate parts of our state, and to appease my passion for artistic expression through photography.
I am 34 years old as I write this. Born on January 27th, 1985 in Rolla, Missouri. I moved to Seminole, Oklahoma when I was 2 years old. Throughout my life I've lived in Shawnee, Tecumseh, Earlsboro, Wewoka, Moore, Norman, Tulsa, Midwest City, North Oklahoma City, and currently South Oklahoma City.
I'm no stranger to little towns in Oklahoma.
I own a computer repair business in Oklahoma City. It's called OKComputerGuy. I'm married to a beautiful girl named Lacey and I have a 2 year old daughter named Evelynn. We are expect our 2nd daughter on November 13th, 2019! I hope to teach them about photography and take them on my more safe adventures when they grow older.
I appreciate you reading this and I encourage you to check out the website. Check out the stories. Read about the history of our state and enjoy my attempts at creating art that's based around OUR state of Oklahoma.
